Hot water, with subsidy.
A heat pump water heater takes the warmth for your water from the air. For that you get the ISDE, a Dutch subsidy, and we apply for it.

How many litres do I need?
For 3 people 200 litres, for 4 people 260 litres, according to the Daikin data sheet. It also depends on how you shower.
The Atlantic Explorer V5 comes in 200, 240 and 270 litres. Atlantic states how much water at 40 °C you get from a full tank at 53 °C: 273 litres from the 200 litre tank, 331 from the 240 and 367 from the 270. Atlantic writes that the Explorer also suits families of 5 people or more.

Do I get a subsidy?
Yes. In 2026 you get € 725 ISDE for the Atlantic Explorer V5. We handle the application.
Does it work with my solar panels?
Yes. Smart‑E‑Grid switches the water heater on when you have your own solar power to spare, or when power is cheap.
Does it make noise?
The Atlantic Explorer V5 has a sound power level of 47 dB(A). That is in the technical data sheet.
Does the water get hot enough to prevent legionella?
Both heat the water to above 60 °C: the Atlantic to 62 °C, the Daikin with its element to 75 °C.
