Radiators and underfloor heating

New radiators? Not always.

A heat pump runs most efficiently at a low temperature. A calculation shows whether your radiators can stay.

The home scan is free. The calculation comes next.

Heat over a large surface.

The larger the surface that gives off heat, the lower the water temperature can be. That is what a heat pump runs on most efficiently. Some heat pumps also make the water hotter, and then ordinary radiators can sometimes stay.

  • 1 to 2 daysHow long milling in takes per storey, in your existing floor.
  • Up to 75 °CHow hot the Atlantic Alfea M and the Bosch 5800i make the water. So ordinary radiators can sometimes stay.

The temperatures come from the technical data sheets of Atlantic and Bosch.

Four ways to spread heat.

Not every room needs the same. The adviser looks at what suits your home.

  • New underfloor heating

In a new or renewed floor. The lowest temperature, and warm feet.

  • Milling in

Channels milled into your existing floor, without breaking it out. 1 to 2 days per storey.

  • Larger radiators

Low-temperature radiators still give enough heat at a low temperature. For rooms where the floor is not an option.

  • Hydraulic balancing

Setting up your system so that every room gets the right amount of heat.

Which way fits follows from the heat loss calculation.

Works with the rest of your home.

Insulation lowers how much heat you need. A large warm surface gives off that heat at a low temperature. That is when a heat pump runs most efficiently.

How the heat pump works

What we arrange for you.

You don't have to work anything out yourself. The quote shows what is needed and what it costs.

  • The calculation first

A heat loss calculation shows how much heat your home needs.

  • Subsidy through the heat pump

There is no ISDE, the Dutch subsidy for sustainable energy, for underfloor heating itself. There is for the heat pump, and we apply for it.

  • One point of contact

We handle insulation, heating and heat pump as one project.

From calculation to a warm floor.

At every step you know what happens and who to call.

All questions in one place

Does the floor have to come out for underfloor heating?

No. With milling in, the pipes go into channels in your existing floor. That takes 1 to 2 days per storey.

Do I need underfloor heating for a heat pump?

Not always. A hybrid heat pump works with your ordinary radiators, because the gas boiler steps in when it is cold. For an all-electric heat pump, the heat loss calculation shows whether your radiators give enough heat.

Can I test whether my home is ready?

Yes, with the heating test from Milieu Centraal. During a cold spell, set the heating water of your gas boiler to 50 degrees. It is usually set to 60 to 80 degrees. Open the radiators in the rooms you normally heat.

If your home stays warm, it is ready for a heat pump. If it gets too cold, you probably need to insulate first. A hybrid heat pump does work with your ordinary radiators, because your boiler steps in.

Only lower the heating water, not your hot tap water. The test works with a high-efficiency (HR) boiler, not with a VR boiler.

What are low-temperature radiators?

Larger radiators that still give enough heat at a low temperature. They fit where underfloor heating is difficult.

What is hydraulic balancing?

Setting up the system so that every room gets the right amount of hot water. Then no room is too warm or too cold. It is included.

Do I get a subsidy?

Not for underfloor heating and radiators themselves. For the heat pump, yes: the ISDE. We apply for it for you.
